The (more new) rules of the Game

Art 1. The game is free and there’s nothing but fame to win, and maybe some little reward sometime (Toblerone bars, keep on faith Hélène).

Art 2. The winner is the one with maximum number of points by July 12^th. The others are losers, sometime beautiful.


Art 3. Players will receive 2 excel bets sheets, they must use to play.
PL2010_stage1_ groupmatches.xls will available before June 1^st and must be filled and sent back before June 11^th4pm. 
PL2010_stage2_finalmatches.xls will be available June 25^th late and must be filled and sent back before June 26^th, 4pm. An incomplete version of PL2010_stage2_finalmatches.xls will be available June 22^th for players who can not bet between June 25^th and June 26^th (they too will be able to send updated prognosis for matches not started and their followers, see Art 5. (ii)).

Art 4. Stage 1: Group matches (from June 11^th to June 25^th)
(i) Players propose a score (up to 9 goals per team) for all 48 group matches. Maximum number of points (new) (two points) are gained if correct score is predicted. Tendency point (one point) is given if winner or draw is found. No point is given otherwise.
(ii) In case a player doesn’t bet he’ll get the baseline: the tendency point of the most given bet (if many: median bet in alphanumeric order).
(iii) All bets must be completed. Only bets received before a game starts will be accepted.
(iv) (new) Players can send an updated bets sheet once, whenever they want. Only not started matches scores will be updated. Will you use this option?


Art 5.  Stage 2: Round of 16 to final (June 26^th to July 11^th)
(i) (new) Players must fill the final board with the name of the quarter and semi finalists, finalists and winner (15 country names).

(ii corr.) Players can send an updated sheet twice.

        a.("week-end management") during round of 16: only not filled and started matches will be updated.

        b. ("still hope") before beginning of quarters (Friday july 2nd, 4pm CET). Teams names can be different from its first bets, in order to pick among qualified teams. All bets from quarters to the final have to be completed at this time, no other update possible.

(iii) For matches already started when bets are not received, baseline will apply: most given vote (if many: median name) points (minus one handicap point).
(iv) Each quarter and semifinalist correctly found name gives 2 points. Finalists and the name of the winner give 3 points each.


Art 6. Participation, results, reclamation
Send an email to pronsoticleague2010@gmail.com if you want to play or if you’ve been contacted and don’t want to be disturbed by PL2010.
Reclamations must be sent to pronosticleague2010@gmail.com, before July 12^th 7pm.
Players will be noticed of the PL2010 results by email, after each Group matches round, before the quarters and the semis, and at the end of the competition.
