PL square

Now that you have filled and sent your pronostic sheet (if you don't, hurry up), you can relax and start thinking about the second contest, hidden behind the Official PL...

This is the PL-square. The PL on PL. Only one question: who's gonna win the PL this year? One way to bet: answer to this post.

For those not familiar with the players, here are the odds.

Favourite group 1: Ugly German
Cold and efficient players (obviously), competing since they early days of the PL, ugly German are always very dangerous . Karsten Hunold is their only Champion, but Giehring, Otto, Gossman, Steinhoff and Gerwig have spent more hours in football stadiums than Raymond Domenech in his whole life. As always, big favourites comes from this group...

Favourite group 2 : Casual Firm
These players, like many French people, pretend they don't know much football... but they do surf lequipe.fr between the pear and the cheese. This is the second big group of favourites: they play relaxed and aggressive. Wiel (twice) & Fradin already reached the pinnacle. Grizaud, Quéré, Sesboue, Bourge, Vincent-Genod, Favre could make it this year...

Outsider group: OK Computers
Those players don't know much about football, that's why they are dangerous... if they play. As proven by the unbelievable double victory of Arnauld Prin in the PL, everything is possible. Many different tactics are hidden in this group: the complete random (Yribarren), the spreadsheet (Luc), the systematic 1:1 (Budynek), the stick-to-the-baseline and the gut feeling (Prin). Underdog group: Super Fanatic
Guys able to mime all goals of the world-cup since 1978 and sharing their "So Foot" each month. They are the New-Zealander of the PL: obviously the best, but no victory since the two first PL-contest, back in the XXth century (Grivon & de Leusse)... Will they face the pressure this year? Boscq & Boscq, Monconduit, Levy, Basse, de Leusse, Stroh, Morali, Rouyer, Boucher and.. myself have been so frequently buried in the rankings that nobody believes anymore...


And my bet is: 1) me, 2) fradin, 3) steinhoff.
